About the Railway
The Railway Hotel is the third oldest hotel in Peterborough, having been built in 1891, opening on the 24th December. W Britten, Licensee. The building was described at the time as palatial, with the Copula Tower on the roof being a feature. The hotel has played host to Governors and high ranking officials during its 125 year history. In 1949 a murder/suicide in the hotel was big news at the time.

Renovations over recent years have endeavoured to retain the historic character of the building, while incorporating modern conveniences expected by the travellers of today. Renovated hotel rooms, some ensuite, air conditioned, large TVs. All refurbished to a high standard at sensible prices.
Impressive architecture of the building is highlighted by feature paint work, which gives an insight into heritage work that has been done to the interior.

are our newest refurbished hotel rooms with new queen bed, fresh decor and carpets. Enjoy the 125 year old charm of the upstairs hotel rooms.
Standard Rooms
and clean and neat with easy access to the bathrooms in the upstairs historic hotel. There are rooms for 1 up to 5 people. A TV room which has fridge, coffee facilities and access to the upstairs balcony is a comfortable area to relax.
Lunch & Dinner Dining
Meet up in our friendly, welcoming Bistro for a casual drink, coffee or meal. Boasting a room large enough for your prebooked function or just an intimate catchup.
Meals are available 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. Bookings are not essential but appreciated, especially for the larger group.

The Sports Bar is a great place to meet and enjoy the relaxed ambience watching the races or your favourite game of football. Friendly staff there to help with a great range of beers and ciders on tap or put on a bet at the TAB. 8 Ball, Darts and a Jukebox are great in from the heat or chill of the Mid North weather.
Pokies Room
Enjoy the privacy of the old dinning room which has been transported into an enchanting Pokies Room for all over 18s to enjoy. Machines start at 1c up to $1. Modern machines installed and changed regularly, but also some of the old charm games which are popular still available.
Full bar facilities, change machine, tea, coffee and biscuit available. Room is kept cool in summer and warm in winter.
